In Creating the New Myth © 2009 - Bradley Pitt and Darren Curtis

Myth is about ancient stories that have levels of meaning and there are myths of the heroes and those of great saviors. Society has its myths that they base there norm's upon in which they live by and also create their own foundations and structures. Myth is also the language that is used that is transcendent in nature - it is a multilevel and expansiveness of thinking. We who are gay need our own myths, we need to create ways of relating to a world from the standpoint of an outsider. Creating an new myth for us is needed so we can channel and manifest our visions ,aspirations and ultimately our identity and incarnation.

We are not based upon the usual understanding of polarities but realise we need to step outside the duality and move into a different space of thinking that is non-duality. The search for our other half in looking for that dualistic balance doesn't exist for the most part in our gay experience. We are not mutually exclusive but rather have mutually inclusive qualities. In our understanding and consciousness we relate differently to duality of the polarities in which we don't search out the other half or try to find balance. Rather we experience freedom as love and sharing in the reflection of our self in the awakening of our sense of oneness while transcending the dualistic paradigm. In reflecting in the other we have a sense of knowing the other as ourselves manifest in a new non-dualistic view.

Gay Spirituality as described by many authors such as Toby Johnson & Mark Thompson is a unique area is worthy of inclusion - exploring the underlying theme - is Gay Spirituality necessary about sex ? Exploring this further then how is this the story of 'incarnation' (soul-spirit's descent into the flesh). As we step into our nature as gay consciousness we will find that yes gay spirituality is about sex and a sexual positive cosmology. We can open up the doorway into our unconscious realm to learn to be who we are in the new myth making process and celebrate our sexual nature as incarnation of spirit seeing the whole being as the 'divine image' or sacred temple.

As we relate to the many and the one we know that our human body is a special vehicle and our gay consciousness offers insights into sex by demanding that we see from a perspective that is not grounded into the normal social conditioning. We need to try and stop fitting into the norm and realise our special nature. We are not to relate to that of the path of the dualistic black and white, male vs female or even us verses them reality. Coming to the awareness that having sex allows one to truly experience an altered state of consciousness incarnated in the flesh. Knowing that delighting in our human bodies that can feel pleasure and joy. It is through this experience we then become aware that there is more to the purpose of sex than to reproduce.

This new myth then needs to encompass how sex is seen as the expression of bliss and then we see incarnation as part of the evolutionary development this new myth opens the ecology of playing a new role of the creative spirit. In this new form we embrace the ancient wisdom traditions with the futuristic insight in order to demythologize the myth of the sacred traditions throughout the planet. Thus we then open to the reverence for the union of the divine in our bodies and become the vehicle of the infinite way - announcing gay identity in this new myth.

This new myth allows our gay soul to be free from the dogmatic religious doctrine, whereby a new fresh perspective that we are gay consciousness as a vital part of evolutionary transition to steer our planet into a new age of peace and harmony.

We allow these views and many more to expand our consciousness and embrace adventure. GSspirit we hope can become a vehicle of expression of the many and the one in this new myth!
